box of pasta, cooked to package directions

- Remove giblets from cavity of chicken.
- Stuff the cavity with a small amount of onions, celery, carrots and 2 sprigs of thyme and tie legs together with butcher's twine.
- In a large slow cooker, add the remaining onions, celery, carrots and water.
- In a small bowl mix together the salt, pepper, and parsley, and coat the chicken on all sides with seasoning blend.
- Place the whole chicken in the slow cooker on top of the vegetables with the breast side facing up. Add the remaining sprigs of thyme and sprinkle the top of the chicken with the paprika.
- Cook on high for 5-6 hours or on low for 7-8 hours, or until the internal temperature of the chicken is 165°F.
- Remove chicken from crock pot and allow it to cool slightly.
- Remove skin, pull the chicken from the bone and shred it.
- Place the meat back into the slow cooker, add noodles, adjust seasoning if needed and serve.
