Springer Mountain Farms was a proud sponsor of BayHaven Food & Wine Festival, a first year event recently held in Charlotte, North Carolina. BayHaven was a 3-day celebration of Black Foodways, aimed at raising awareness of Black culinary experts and creating opportunities for newcomers in the hospitality industry. BayHaven is organized by the award-winning restaurant team of Greg and Subrina Collier, and brought over 35 leading black chefs and bartenders from across the country for multiple days of curated meals, classes and camaraderie to Charlotte, a melting pot city with an incredibly talented pool of chefs. The festivities attracted thousands of food enthusiasts with every major event sold out almost as soon as tickets went on sale, while at the same time benefitting the No Kid Hungry campaign and providing scholarships and aid to students at area educational institutions in the culinary field. With the success of this year’s event, it’s no surprise that BayHaven 2022 is already in the planning stages!
