Since opening more than five years ago in East Nashville, Treehouse has earned a reputation as a favorite among neighborhood diners, especially as a late-night hang thanks to their inventive menu of internationally-inspired fare.
This is despite a bit of a revolving door of chefs, cycling through three talented kitchen leaders over that short time. Each chef put his own spin on the menu to great acclaim, and the consistent conviviality of the staff and bar ambiance led to many positive reviews.
Now, another big change is coming to Treehouse as founders Matt Spicher and Cory Ladd announced that they have sold the restaurant and three parcels of property to long-time Nashville resident Kelly Black, a fellow industry restaurateur and veteran of the Nashville music scene.
Spicher and Black related that they were proud of what they had accomplished and will have fond memories of their time at Treehouse. They also look forward to announcing their next ventures sometime soon.
Black promised that Treehouse would maintain its “robust late night service” and has plans for some small upcoming changes in a refreshed menu. Black’s POP Hospitality Group also operates NashHouse Southern Spoon & Saloon at the Cambria Hotel downtown as well as The Row Kitchen & Pub in Midtown and The Honeysuckle in Cool Springs.
