A talented group of Music City chefs will come together for a benefit event on Saturday, November 2 at Little Harpeth Brewing (30 Oldham Street, Nashville) to raise money for the Nashville Food Project, and organization with a mission “to bring people together to grow, cook and share nourishing food, with the goals of cultivating community and alleviating hunger in our city.”
The event is called Nashville Gathers and is expected to be the first in a series of special culinary events intended to bring the community together over food and drink to raise funds to support various worthy causes.
Trey Cioccia, chef/owner of The Farm House and Black Rabbit, has been the primary organizer of Nashville Gathers, slated for 6:00 until 10:00 pm on the grounds of Little Harpeth Brewing in East Nashville.
The family-friendly event is just $10 for kids and $50 for adults to enjoy an evening of live music by Lucas Denton and Friends along with the Glade City Rounders along with food and drink tastings provided by some of Nashville’s most beloved chefs, brewers and distillers.
The list of participating restaurants reads like a “who’s who” of Nashville food and drink: Black Rabbit, The Farm House, Lockeland Table, Peg Leg Porker, Thai Esane, Nicky’s Coal Fired, Arnold’s Country Kitchen, GReKo Greek Street Food, Funk Seoul Brother, The Listening Room Cafe, Etch, Martin's Bar-B-Que Joint, Brightwood Craft Cider, Pennington Distilling Co. and Nelson's Green Brier Distillery.
Cioccia really wants Nashville Gathers to be an interactive event where foodie fans can get the chance to meet and learn more about their favorite culinarians. “I wanted to put an event together that not only showed the great people of Nashville who we are, but what we are and how much we care about our community. This event showcases all the individuals that risked, sweated, sacrificed, and built this part of Nashville through hard work and giving back to the city that has always supported us.”
Tickets for what should prove to be a fantastic evening of food and fun are available at the event’s website, and organizers expect it to sell out, so don’t dawdle!
