A recent “Drop-off Dinner Party for 2” included a bounty to produce and fantastic main dishes to make for a very special evening. The menu kicked off with a rich Caramelized Spring Onion Soup that was packed for easy re-heating to accompany a Spring Crudites Salad made with local greens, heirloom cherry tomatoes and a dill & lemon buttermilk dressing that would make for a perfect topping to some homemade gyros later in the week.
The star of the show was a Whole Roasted Springer Mountain Farms Chicken served with green olives, herbs and a sweet and spicy maple mustard jus. If one protein wasn’t enough, Juniper Green also included an order of Lamb & Beef Meatballs with an oyster mushroom ragout and parmesan. Side dishes included Twice-Baked Russet Potatoes with sour cream, bacon, white cheddar cheese and scallions as a starch alongside a Warm Artichoke, Kale & White Bean Salad and Charred BBQ-Rubbed Brussel Sprouts under an herbed buttermilk ranch dressing.
Extra add-ons included a cheese box curated by Kathleen Cotter, the talented cheesemonger at The Bloomy Rind and an over-the-top coconut cake for dessert.
