Georgia’s climate and rich resources have made agriculture the top industry for the state, including being the nation’s #1 state for producing broiler chickens. Springer Mountain Farms is proud to be part of the Georgia agricultural community and a leader in the Georgia poultry industry. This week we celebrate our family farmers, our employees and all of our agricultural partners in Georgia and all they do every day to help feed this nation.
From the farm to our plates and beyond, Georgia's agricultural industry never stops working for you, and neither does Springer Mountain Farms. To honor the state's largest industry, our friends at the Georgia Department of Agriculture have designated March 20-26, 2023, to celebrate Georgia Ag Week! The week-long celebration highlights the people, communities and products that make Georgia Nature's Favorite State.
“As we celebrate Agriculture Awareness Week, let us remember that agriculture is way more than just a job – it’s a way of life,” said Commissioner Tyler Harper. “From the gas pump to the grocery store and everywhere in between, Agriculture and the Georgia Department of Agriculture impact all 11 million Georgians every single day. Today we appreciate and celebrate Georgia’s farmers and farm families who work every day to produce the food, fiber, and shelter the rest of us rely on. We can all play a part in ensuring the success of Georgia’s number one industry – Agriculture, and I encourage everyone to join in the celebration.”
