Air fryer chicken parmesan comes together in just 20 minutes which makes it the perfect quick dinner!

3/4 cup
gluten free breadcrumbs
1/4 cup
grated parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon
thyme
1/2 teaspoon
garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon
sea salt
1/2 teaspoon
dried parsley
1
egg
1 cup
prepared marinara sauce
1 cup
shredded mozzarella cheese (use dairy free to make this meal DF)
Fresh parsley for garnish
  1. Flatten chicken with a large plate or bowl by pressing down.
  2. In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, and seasonings.
  3. In another bowl, add in the egg and whisk to combine yolk and white.
  4. Rub olive oil on air fryer tray.
  5. Dip each chicken breast in the egg mixture, shaking off any excess and then into the bread crumb mixture.
  6. Place the chicken on air fryer tray leaving room in between pieces for air flow.
  7. Lightly spray each piece of breaded chicken with olive oil.
  8. Cook in the air fryer on 390°F for 7 minutes.
  9. Carefully flip chicken and cook again for 7 more minutes.
  10. Check to make sure internal temperature of the chicken pieces reach at least 165°F before proceeding to the next step, or cook for another few minutes until the proper temperature is reached.
  11. Cover chicken mozzarella, sauce, and optional fresh parsley.
  12. Air fry on 400 for 1 minute to melt cheese and heat sauce.
  13. Remove and drizzle with more sauce and add extra parmesan cheese if desired.
