FAQs

What color should my livers be?

The color of chicken liver can range in color from a tan or yellow to a deep mahogany red. Yellow indicates a fattier liver.

What is the green looking substance attached to my liver?

Sometimes the gallbladder or a portion of it remains attached to the liver. It is harmless but needs to be removed prior to cooking to prevent your livers from tasting bitter.

How do I open the container without cutting it open?

There are 2 white plastic tabs on each side of the cup just under the clear lid. Break both white plastic tabs off on both sides to expose the thin lip of the clear lid. Lift the clear plastic lid only to open the container. Do not lift on the solid white plastic rim nex to the broken tab space to open the cup.
